Bagel Baby

So, I don't know how many of you heard but I have to go on a diet. The vet here in Ohio thinks I am "a little heavy". He told my dad that I had to lay off of the treats and absolutely no people food. Well, how is that fair. The kid gets to eat whatever she wants and usually, I have whatever she decides she doesn't want. This weekend, instead of feeding the kid breakfast in her high-chair (where I can get her left-overs) my parents took a long walk up to the local bagel store and had breakfast there instead. I wish I could be a bagel baby...in mean....bagel weenie.

Here Fishee, Fishee

Greetings from Ohio. I know, I know...it has been a while since my last post. I have been quite busy. Remarkably, the summer has been really nice. We are having the coolest July since 1871. It was only 69 degrees today. In my spare time, I have been watching the kid grow like a weed and plotting how I am going to catch a koi fish from our back pond. Here fishee, fishee....here fishee, fishee....

Shakin' My Tale Feather

So...while Frank is busy chasing the local critters and birdies outside....I have taken over his blog. You see, he doesn't have time to keep up his weekly posts these days so I am helping him out.

Today, was Father's Day. I thought I would post a message to my papa with pictures of me shakin' my tale feather in the new dress my dad bought me for my b-day. You see, one of my FAVORITE things to do is dance around the living room with my daddy to cuban and reggae music. Happy Papa Day, Daddy.

Love,
Your #1 Tale Feather Shaker

A Zoo To Do

Howdy Folks, Cambria here. I just had to write everyone and tell you that I had an AWESOME weekend. My mom and dad took me to the new "Nature's Neighborhood" exhibit at the zoo and I slept for 3 1/2 hours when we got home. There is a huge treehouse...not quite ready for that yet but there was also a stream that you can walk in and build a dam. I thought I could swim so I sat down in the water. Oh well. It was warm outside and a lounged on the zoo's local beach for a few while a dried off. Also, there was a forest inside with a huge bee hive and mushroom seats and tweetie birds and bird houses with eggs you could put in and out and a big bird nest and so much more. I went with mom's pals Jackie and Christine and my pals Allison, Giada and Luke. Whew...it was quite a zoo to do.

Cupcake Princess

A couple weeks ago, the house was a flutter with suitcases.  I know what that means...I am being left home alone with Harley, AGAIN.  However, this time was different.  The kid had a special shirt that said "Birthday Girl" and her car seat was turned around in the car.  What I learned later, Cambria got to go to California to see Grammie Barbara (no fair) to eat cupcakes...with monkeys on them, no less.  Sometimes it sucks to not be the cupcake Princess...or my case...Prince.

Blackberrying

Howdy folks.  If any of you know my dad well enough...you know that he does everything while he is also reading emails or texting or blackberrying.  Now...the kid has some blackberrying of her own she is doing lately...the only difference, one includes a little black thing with buttons and the other includes a little fruit of the same color.  Good thing she hasn't discovered the one with buttons, yet!

Hot Tubbin'

Whew. It has been quite some time since my last post. It has been very busy. I have noticed that with all of the nice weather, the kid is super excited to be motoring around. So busy that from time to time, she takes a little time out for herself to relax. Now, before anyone gets to excited about what I am going to say next...the big vat of water the kid is relaxin' in is only 100 degrees...Dad is too cheap to heat it to adult standards. Here are a few pics of the kid hot tubbin'.

Up Popped a Tulip

Well...it is time to report how many of the 80+ tulip bulbs that my mom planted actually made it through the fall to the spring.  You see, the 18 squirrels that live in the trees at our house have tried and tried to snack on my mom's precious tulips.  However, I am happy to report that half of the prized bulbs made it and popped up this spring.  So...as the count goes...up popped a tulip or 42.

It's Tulip Time!

Howdy!  Cambria here.  This past weekend was SO cool.  We left the crazy mutts at home and headed up to Holland, Michigan with Grammie Carol and Grandpa Roger for the annual Tulip Festival.  According to the nice lady at the Fenn Valley Winery (yeap Dad had to have wine), the city plants over 2.8M tulips that line the streets of the town for over 6 miles.  We stayed at a great Bed & Breakfast called Castle in the Country...which I loved (great chef named, Herb).  We had a bloomin' good time at Tulip Time.

Dancin' In the Water Dish

Greetings Folks. I know...I know....it has been a couple weeks since my last post. You see...spring has finally come to the great state of Ohio so I have been out getting reacquainted with the squirrels and chipmunks. The other day, I came in for a nice little drink and I found the kid splashing about in my water bowl. Not only had it become her own little muse for entertainment, she started dancing with it. I have heard of dancing on the ceiling, dirty dancing, swing dancing, dancing in the moonlight...but NEVER...Dancin' in the Water Dish!
